PRA Family Group 25–What to Do?

Here’s a question for us to consider.

Is William Pennington, b. 1750, Group 25 progenitor the same as William Pennington, b. 1755, progenitor of Group 26? Birth years are close as are places of birth.

The PRA’s Family Group 25 has been lying dormant for a number of years.  We haven’t been able to find anyone who has any information beyond what appears on our website.

It says, “Family Group 25 – William, 1750, Anne Arundel Co., MD.  This Family Group description is being developed.  Contact Gene Pennington if you have any information on this Family Group”.

I’ve checked several times trying to find a history of this Group but without much success.  Even searching my predecessor's records hasn’t turned up a single clue as to the history behind this Group.  Not even when it was started and the research behind the progenitor, William Pennington, b. 1750, Anne Arundel Co., MD.

Question: What do you think?  Do you have any research to share that will help us learn more about William Pennington, b. 1750, Anne Arundel Co., MD?

We have some excellent research done by the former Group Leader of Group 26, Ric Blake, who passed away in September 2011.  There are some hints in his research that may point to an answer to our question but so far they’ve eluded me.
